Ex-mosque chief jailed 14 months for corruption scheme involving S$223,000 in contracts
A former executive chairman of two Singapore mosques has been sentenced to 14 months imprisonment for corruption. Abdul Rahim Mawasi unlawfully assisted a friend's company in winning construction contracts valued at S$223,000 by providing inside pricing information.
