Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has asserted that Malaysia's pursuit of positive diplomatic ties with leading global powers remains compatible with the country's unwavering commitment to national principles on the international stage.

Addressing concerns about the balance of relations, Anwar emphasised that engaging with major economies such as China and the United States does not require Malaysia to surrender its independent stance on global issues. The Prime Minister highlighted that nations can foster constructive partnerships while simultaneously adhering to their foundational values.

The statement, made in Muar, underscores Malaysia's foreign policy approach of maintaining strategic partnerships across different spheres without compromising the country's integrity or position on matters of international significance.
