The Royal Brunei Police Force has arrested two women in connection with suspected immoral activities following coordinated operations in the Brunei-Muara District on Sunday, June 14. Officers from the Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit carried out raids in Kampong Salambigar and Kampong Lumapas, leading to both detentions.
The first suspect, a 39-year-old local resident, was apprehended at a rented room in Kampong Salambigar on suspicion of engaging in immoral activities. The second operation, conducted in Kampong Lumapas, resulted in the detention of a 29-year-old woman accused of abetting and participating in similar offences.
Authorities brought both individuals and items recovered during the operations to the Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit office for questioning and further investigation. The police force continues to prioritize action against such activities as part of its mandate to uphold community standards.
